Tom Sweitzer has been Tennis Director at Colonial since 1998. He is a USPTA Master Professional which
is a rating held by less than 1% of tennis professionals. In 2007 he was inducted into the USTA/Middle States
Hall of Fame which has 40 inductees out of the over 35,000 members. In 2008 the Racquet Sports Industry
named him the USPTA Grass Roots Member of the Year. Also, in 2008 the USPTA honored him with the
Alex Gordon Tennis Professional of the Year - the top tennis professional in the country. This title has been
earned by other teaching giants such as Nick Bolliteri, Rick Macci, Vic Braden and Peter Burwash. Honors
such as these are earned becasue of excellence, comitement & passion for teaching and promoting tennis.
